Learn Knitting Fundamentals - Beginner class
Absolute beginner:
For the absolute
beginner - the classes run over 3 consecutive weeks
Wednesday daytime= Jan 8th, 15th, 22th - 10am to 12pm
Saturday morning = Jan 11th, 18th, 25th – 10am to 12pm
You will learn: setting up the ground work to knit, then hands on
- to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast off
Cost $49.00 paid in advance by Tuesday Jan 7th.
Class fee includes - instruction book and practice yarn, needles, 6 hours of instructions
Top Down Small sample Sweater
Wednesday daytime= Jan 8th, 15th, 22th - 10am to 12pm

Top Down Small sample Sweater
Enthusiastic – Advanced beginner:
This class provides
you with the tools for knitting a top down garment. It becomes a “no sew”
project.
Since you start knitting at the neckline, your project starts off
faster, fewer stitches to deal with, you can try on your sweater as you go and
at the end – no seams to sew!!
Thursday daytime =
Jan 9th and Jan 16th – 10am to 12pm
Cost $ 39.00 paid in
advance by Wednesday Jan 8th.
Class fee includes –
pattern, yarn – (must provide own needles), 4 hours of instructions
It’s Toe Up sock time
Intermediate: must have experience using DPNs
Previous sock knitting required:
Toe-up sock knitting has its advantages:
you can try on your
sock as you go, leave no leftover yarns behind
We start with a small sample sock and move on
to start your first pair of full size socks
toe cast-on, short
row heel, shaping gussets, stretchy specialty
cast-offs.

Thrumming Mitten class
Intermediate: must have experience using DPNs
Learn this wonderful technique called thrumming. We teach
you how to make a thrum, several techniques
for knitting in your thrums and
general discussions.
These mittens are perfect for dog walking, keeping your
fingers warm and toasty and help keep the winter winds out.
Kits are available or we can build one for you.
Tuesday daytime=
January 21st - 10am to 12pm
Cost $ 50.00 includes all materials – please bring your own
needles – paid in advance by Monday Jan 20th
Class fee includes: pattern, yarn, roving, 2 hours of instructions
Cables Beginner
Enthusiastic Beginner:
Let’s have fun making cables. We will create a sampler
swatch with several examples of different types of cables.
Let’s take it one step further – cable without a cable
needle!! How’s that for fun…
Don’t be scared off – it is not difficult.
We will teach you how to read a pattern with cable charts
and understand the fundamentals.
Tuesday daytime =
January 28th – 10am to 12pm
Cost $ 34.00 includes one skein of Cascade 220 – paid in
advance by Tuesday 27th
Class fee includes: yarn, pattern and 2 hours of
instructions (must provide own needles)
Oops, I’ve made a Mistake! – Now what??
Absolute beginner – Intermediate knitter
“Something’s wrong
and I can’t figure it out. I might have made a mistake but I just can’t tell.”
Does this question sound like what you ask yourself from
time to time? Here’s your chance to learn how to catch and fix a mistake. Learn
how to “frog it” back and fix your mistake.
Learn the old “hook and ladder” method
of fixing mistakes.
Wednesday daytime =
January 29th – 10am to 12pm
Cost $ 29.00 includes handouts and 2 hours of instructions –
paid in advance by Tuesday Jan 28th
Class fee includes: This time we ask you to come with some
homework. Instructions handed out at time of registration
Materials to bring: two swatches, 4.5mm to 5mm needles, 3mm
crochet hook
As with all our
classes, preregistration is required. The class fee is non-refundable or
transferable.
Class minimum is set
at 3 students and a maximum of 6 students.
