It's not a Santa sack...

My Briggs & Little order arrived this morning... hum... this should be enough to keep us in knitting for a while... The handpainted Softspun yarns are back in stock along with a smattering of gorgeous colours in heritage, atlantic, regal and softspun... toss in a few patterns, cakes of roving and TADA... this is what it looks like :) P.S. Mister postman also brought my Brown Sheep yarn binder... I feel a Lamb's Pride order in the wind... which by the way- winter's back on the bay ...

My new project gets started...

I have choosen Softspun from Briggs & Little to make a beautiful scarf from the latest Knits Weekend mag. I'm starting the Wheat Field Scarflette by Cecily Glowik MacDonald. It's cute and do-able in a short time, even though cast on is 422sts... no time for chatting while that's happening. stay tuned for more pics!!

I am excited for Leigh & Mike... Their new baby will arrive today with a little help from modern technology... I've been busy knitting little booties... all colours- fun yarns- more to follow... We have a new grandchild on the way expected at the end of May... that makes #7!!... I guess little Kimono sweaters will be next...

This cute little number is Brenda's latest creation. I love it!!... although made up in Briggs Super it's a tad heavy... but gorgeous... She added the pewter buttons for a touch of flair.... tada!! Keeps the chill out, adds a great style... and easy to do... Two panels the same size, pick up around the neck line for a t-neck, mock neck or couple rows of ribbing... your choice...
