Sock Designing binge...

Beginner Knitting Class – 2 sessions 4 hours = $52.00 For the absolute beginner - 2 consecutive weeks Wednesday daytime = Sept. 16 th and 23 rd - 10am to 12pm You will learn: setting up the ground work to knit - discussion cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast off, read your pattern abbreviations, yarn weights, needles, knitting notions, etc… Cost $52.00 paid in advance by Tuesday Sept 14th. Class fee includes - instruction book and practice yarn Materials: need 5mm needles, FREE scarf pattern available to work on Saturday will be offered at a later date. Please send me your request. Mitten Class details - September 2015

Mitten Class – 2 sessions 4 hours = $52.00 It’s the time of year for knitting cosy mittens. Small project Perfect for gift giving!! We start by knitting a small mitten so you become familiar with the different techniques. We then move on with a regular sized adult mitten pattern. Friday Sept 18 th – 9: 30 to 12pm - Friday Sept 25 th – 10am to 11:30am Week one – Anatomy of a mitten discussion, pattern review Knit small mitt – ribbing, gusset, thumb, decreases, – start adult mitten Week two – Sort out issues, Q & A – How do I add a pattern?,   What’s your favourite thumb? Graft top or not? Stripes?  Fingerless? Flip Top? Etc….. Skills required = Intermediate Must know how to knit, purl, knit with DPNs and/or magic loop Materials = worsted weight  - 200yds, needles to achieve gauge  (3.75mm – 4.5mm)  in the format you wish to knit – DPNs, Magic Loop, 2 Circulars Class policy = pre – registration required ...
