Apple Pie Trail article - Grey Heron gets BIG shout

Ontario’s Apple Country near Collingwood dishes out delicious apple treats. In the Blue Mountains surrounding Collingwood, Ontario, it’s all about the apple.
Though the region, about two hours northwest of Toronto, boasts Georgian Bay and countless other sparkling cottage country lakes as well as great ski resorts such as Craigleith, Osler and Blue Mountain (the province’s largest ski centre), the area now has a new focus — the Apple Pie Trail.
Winner of the Ontario Culinary Association’s 2011 Culinary Experience Award, the Trail features 32 members including restaurants, bakeries, cheese shops, caf├ęs and wineries and offers a delectable guide to Ontario’s Apple Country. Catchy billboard...LOL

Every once and a while we take a daytrip out to Lake Huron area - Kincardine, Port Elgin, Southampton
My old stomping grounds as a child. We slipped into the multiple car pile up @ Tim's in Southampton - look what we found... this amazingly funny billboard across the street... We laughed our heads off - and we won't forget to join in the fun every Saturday night in the summer to drop by the lighthouse to listen to the pipe band parade go by..... marketing at it's best...
The sandy beach was gorgeous and full of families having a picnic and swim... what a great day we had
